There seems to be absolutely NO information about alternative bus routes on the CT Transit websites, and they seem to have quit answering the phones. The info has to exist, since the drivers are following it. GET IT POSTED! Also, drivers are leaving people standing at cleared driveways, even though the bus stops are completely snowed in. How can you expect people to wait at bus stops safely in this?

I agree, a map would help. And clearing the sidewalks near the city's busiest bus routes & stops (Whalley, Dixwell, Grand, Chapel) should be a top priority immediately after the storm. It's been days and they are still very far from usable.
Why did we wait days to hire a shovel brigade when it was ten times easier to shovel the day after the storm hit?
Right now, families are carrying babies in the middle of the street as trucks speed past.

I agree. I wonder what the impact on bus ridership has been, given that many people can not safely get to or use the stops in their neighborhood?
Two pedestrians in Milford died this past week because sidewalks were not clear - I hope an accounting of injuries is done at some point as well.
