I guess I used the word 'dumped' promiscuously ... when they plowed, the speed and throw of the snow threw it way onto my driveway making it really deep and heavy. Sorry...they didn't really 'dump'...in my exasperation I used this word inappropriately.
In any case, help has arrived and driveway opening is cleared.

A similar occurrence happens in our driveway each time snow requires plowing, regardless of whether it is a City of New Haven plow truck or a Contractor. (16 years now)

Private contractors do NOT dump snow in others' driveways, thereby preventing them from getting out, they simply push it to the side. If you have an issue with your neighbors' contractors, take it up with them. City issues are separate from private contractor issues.
