Apparently they put down road material in layers 1-2 inches thick. In some areas of the roadway mentioned, large pieces of road are missing...some larger than others. However, this presents a potentially deadly situation for bicyclists and a bad situation for cars trying to navigate around these 'pits'. Hopefully, this is helpful. Come to this stretch of road and see!
